Raymond Staniunas, M.D., FACS

Raymond Staniunas, M.D., FACS, is a 1984 graduate of Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. He did his surgical internship at Boston University, where he also did his surgical residency. Dr. Staniunas was trained as a fellow in colon cancer research at the famed Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. He also was a fellow in colon and rectal surgery at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, Massachusetts. He is board-certified by the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery and is a member of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons (www.fascrs.org).

Dr. Staniunas offers more than 20 years of personalized, comprehensive, efficient and up-to-date surgical and medical treatment expertise for diseases of the colon and rectum. He has particular expertise in endoscopy, colonoscopy and minimally invasive surgery using the da Vinci® robotic surgery system.

When he’s not practicing medicine, Dr. Staniunas, a Massachusetts native, enjoys spending time with his wife, three children and his dogs. He also enjoys golf, exercise and traveling.
